Meet Victoria!
Victoria is a multidisciplinary artist working across illustration, crochet, and pottery. She graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2018, earning a BFA with a major in Animation and a concentration in Illustration. Her background in drawing and storytelling continues to influence all of her work, no matter the medium.
Victoria learned to crochet in college, but her practice truly took off in 2020. She creates a wide range of fiber pieces, including blankets, hats, scarves, cardigans, bags, dog sweaters, tapestries, and small crocheted creatures (amigurumi). She is especially drawn to colorwork and is actively experimenting with ways to merge her illustrations with crochet tapestries to create original, illustration-driven designs.
Her ceramics journey began after her fiancé gifted her a clay date night at Yay Clay! studio in the Port Richmond neighborhood of Philadelphia which sparked a love for wheel throwing. She now attends advanced wheel-throwing classes at BabyFace studio. While she primarily focuses on functional pottery—especially yarn bowls and playful mugs—she is always exploring new forms, glazes, and techniques.
When she’s not making art, Victoria can usually be found walking dogs or spending time with her cats. She works part-time as a pet sitter and dog walker, and full-time as a Dog Adoption and Foster Coordinator at Philly PAWS, Philadelphia’s largest animal rescue partner.
